Simple Art Forms

Art is always therapy

This past weekend, I painted pomegranates in Princeton and Brooklyn, and it was truly wonderful! The groups, the participants, their energy, their artworks, the insights we all shared—and, of course, the joy and smiles at the end. Finally, with the help of some wise people, I managed to put into words why I do this and what my purpose is in my classes. The goal is simple: to help people recognize their own strength in the most natural and sustainable way—through their creativity, through art. To show how we (or rather, not us, but the process itself) can create beauty when we let go of control entirely. How we can be flexible, work with what we have, and find joy in that. How not following imposed rules adds a unique touch. And so much more.
