Summer Juried Exhibition at Falmouth Art Center!
I’m so happy to share that my silk painting The Courage of the Heart – Barrage was selected for the Summer Juried Exhibition at Falmouth Art Center!
More than 300 artists applied, each submitting up to five works — and only 50 pieces made it into the show. Mine is one of them.
At first, I took it for granted — “of course it got in,” I thought. But when I started talking to other artists at the opening and during my workshop, I realized just how competitive it was. So many amazing artists told me their works weren’t accepted. They were genuinely surprised mine was.
And that made me pause. I realized I hadn’t given myself enough credit. I am proud. I should be proud.
At the reception last night, I heard such kind, powerful words about my piece — how it stood out, how it moved people. That meant the world to me.
